Who can use this: Any team member
Available on: Any Gong plan
Gong supports more than 70 languages, making it easier for global teams to capture, understand, and share what happens in every conversation. Language support within Gong works across three areas: spoken-language transcription and analysis for calls, AI translation of call content, and the display language of the Gong interface. Each area is configured independently, which means a rep can record a call in Spanish, another rep can read the AI summary in French, all while using the Gong interface in English.
Supported languages for calls and transcripts
When a call is recorded in a supported language, Gong transcribes it and uses the transcript for AI analysis. Supported languages vary by region and dialect, and the transcription model used depends on the language spoken on the call.

Capabilities available in English only
Some Gong features only generate results for calls in English. For calls in other languages, these are not available:
Note:
Question-based smart trackers are available in all languages.
AI translation
You can translate transcripts, AI summaries, call briefs, contact briefs, account briefs, and deal briefs from any supported language into your preferred language. Use translation to review calls in your preferred language, share moments with colleagues, and give or receive feedback across language barriers. Translated call summaries can also be exported to your CRM.
You can set a translation preference per source language so calls are automatically translated into your preferred language when you view them, or translate individual calls on demand from the call page.
Note:
Admins can set default AI Translator preferences in the Admin center. Learn more about managing settings for AI Translator.
UI display language
You can change the language of the Gong interface, including menus, buttons, labels, and notifications. This is a personal setting and does not affect transcription, translation, or any other team member's experience.
Currently available display languages:
English
Français
Français Canadien
Note:
Localization is rolling out progressively. Some areas of the interface and AI-generated content may still appear in English as coverage continues to expand.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between AI Translator and languages spoken during calls?
Languages spoken during calls help Gong identify the language used on your calls for transcription. AI Translator controls the language of translated and AI-generated content you see in Gong. AI Translator does not change the language Gong uses to transcribe calls. Spoken languages and AI Translator are separate settings. AI Translator changes the language of translated transcripts and AI-generated content in Gong.
What languages are available in the Gong Help Center?
Currently, the Gong Help Center is only available in English.
Does changing my UI display language affect transcription or AI translation?
No. These are separate settings. Transcription language is determined by the language spoken on the call. AI translation is configured separately in your profile or by your admin.
Does changing my UI display language translate CRM content in Gong?
No. UI display language only affects the Gong interface. CRM data appears in whatever language it was entered in your CRM.
What language does the Gong Assistant use to answer my questions?
The Gong Assistant responds in the language used in the question. If you ask a question in German, Gong Assistant responds in German.
