AI Translator automatically translates call transcripts and AI-generated content into your preferred language. Translate a call transcript from the call page, or access translated briefs for calls, accounts, and deals from their respective panels. Translation is available on demand regardless of any default your admin has configured.
Translate a call transcript
Translation is personal to you. It changes what you see on the call page but does not affect the source transcript or anyone else's view.
To translate a call transcript:
Open the call page.
Click the Transcript tab.
Click the language selector in the top right corner of the transcript panel and select the language you want to translate into.
The transcript, call outline, key points, next steps, and subtitles update in the selected language.
To return to the original language, click the language selector again and select the original language.
Note:
Search is not available in a translated transcript. To search the call content, return to the original language first. Snippets are saved in the original language. Downloaded transcripts reflect the language active at the time of download.

What content gets translated?
On the call page, the transcript, brief, outline, key points, next steps, and subtitles are translated. Deal briefs, account briefs, and AI-suggested playbook notes can also be translated on demand from their respective panels.
Does translation change the source transcript?
No. Translation renders the existing transcript in another language for you. The source transcript and related analysis remain in the original spoken language. If you need a new source transcript in a different language, see transcribing a call in the correct language.
Why can't I search the transcript after translating?
Gong's transcript search works on the source-language text. Translated transcripts are a rendered view, not a separate searchable index. Return to the original language to use search.
Can I set a default translation language so I don't have to choose every time?
Yes. Set a default translation language in your profile so translated content appears automatically. Learn more about setting your language preferences.
