    Connect additional Gong instances to a Zoom account

    The Zoom integration app (Gong for Zoom Meetings in the Zoom App Marketplace) can only be connected to Gong once per connecting user. In other words, the Zoom Admin that connects Gong to Zoom controls the permissions of the Gong for Zoom Meetings app, and this user cannot connect a different Gong instance to Zoom.

    If need to connect Zoom to two or more Gong instances, you can do so by simply connecting with a different Zoom Admin.

    Step 1: Verify who has already connected Gong to Zoom

    By knowing which Zoom admins have already connected Gong to Zoom, you can find a different or create a new Zoom admin to connect the new instance.

    1. Log in to the Zoom App Marketplace as a user with an owner role, and then click Manage.

    2. Go to ADMIN APP MANAGEMENT > Apps on Account.

      The list of installed apps on this account.

    3. Find the Gong (Gong for Zoom Meetings) app and click on it.

    4. Navigate to Current Subscribers.

      A list of Zoom users that are currently subscribed to the Gong app appears.

    Step 2: Connect a new Gong instance to Zoom

    Before you begin: Make sure that the Zoom admin does not appear in the Gong for Zoom Meetings app current subscribers list (step 1), and that they have the necessary Zoom role permissions.

    1. Sign into the new Gong instance that you want to connect to the Zoom account as a technical admin.

    2. Go to Company settings > Data capture > Web conferencing.

    3. In the Zoom row, click SETTINGS.

    4. Click Connect.

      Follow the instructions: sign in to the Zoom account using the different or new user, and authorize access to Zoom.

    When you connect to Zoom, we install a Gong for Zoom Meetings app instance in your Zoom account, and ask for the following permissions:

    • View and manage all user meetings

    • View and manage all user recordings

    • View all users' Zoom Rooms information

    • View and manage all users

    Tip

    Go here for more information on required scopes.

    (Note the Gong for Zoom Meetings app is not the same as the Gong app for Zoom which enables your Gong users to take notes in Zoom).
