Use the Gong app for Zoom

Add the Gong app for Zoom so that you can take notes, mark important moments, and see how the conversation is going while you are still on the call. The app runs inside Zoom, alongside your meeting.

Before you begin

• Your company needs to be set up for native Zoom recording across the whole company, and your technical admin needs to have approved the Gong app for Zoom in your company's Zoom account. If you cannot install or open the app, ask your technical admin to check both.

• The app works on calls that were scheduled in advance and are recorded in Zoom. It does nothing on a call that is not being recorded.

Add the Gong app for Zoom

You only need to do this once.

To add the Gong app for Zoom:

1. Open Zoom, and go to the Apps tab.

2. Click Browse all apps, and search for Gong.

3. Add the Gong app for Zoom.

Open the app during a call

To open the app during a call:

1. In your Zoom meeting, click Apps.

2. Click Open next to Gong app for Zoom.

To save doing this on every call, open the menu in the top right corner of the app and set it to open automatically whenever you have a Zoom meeting.

Important:

The app is not visible to anyone else on the call, including when you share your screen normally. The one exception is sharing the app screen itself from the app menu, which shows the app to everyone on the call, customers included, along with anything you have written in it.

Remove the app

The app is removed from the Zoom App Marketplace in your browser, not from the Zoom desktop client.

To remove the app:

1. In your browser, sign in to your Zoom account and go to the Zoom App Marketplace.

2. Click Manage, click Added Apps, and search for Gong app for Zoom.

3. Click Gong app for Zoom, and then click Remove.
