Configure Gong credit allocations

Prev Next

Who can use this: Tech admin, Business admin

Available on: Any Gong plan

Note:

This feature is rolling out in August 2026 and some functionality may vary.

Your company's Gong credits form a shared pool available across all credit-based features. The Manage credits tab gives admins controls to govern how those credits are distributed and replenished: set a monthly limit per team member, configure automatic top-ups, and allocate credits to workspaces.

Set monthly credit limits for team members

A monthly credit limit sets the maximum number of credits team members can consume in a calendar month through credit-based actions they initiate. It is a cap, not a personal balance: unused credits do not carry over to the next month, and the limit resets on the first of each calendar month. A team member who reaches their monthly cap cannot use credit-based features for the rest of that month. They are also blocked when the company's shared credit pool runs out, regardless of how many personal credits remain.

To set a monthly credit limit for team members:

  1. From the left sidebar, click Admin center.

  2. In the Settings tab, click Gong credits under Reports.

  3. Click the Manage credits tab.

  4. Click the Set monthly credits for team members toggle to enable monthly credit limits.

  5. Enter the maximum number of credits per team member in the Monthly limit field.

  6. Click Save.

The limit applies to all team members in your company.

Note:

Monthly limits reset on the first of each month. Unused credits within a team member's monthly limit do not carry over.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when a team member reaches their monthly credit limit?

Credit-based actions are paused for that team member for the rest of the month. The limit resets on the first of the next calendar month, and they can resume using credit-based actions at that point.

Do unused credits in a team member's monthly limit carry over?

No. Monthly limits reset at the start of each month and unused capacity does not carry over. The limit is a monthly cap, not a personal credit balance.

Can a team member be blocked even when they have not reached their personal monthly limit?

Yes. A team member is blocked from using credit-based features when the company's shared credit pool runs out, even if they have not reached their personal monthly cap. The monthly limit and the company pool are independent: either one can block access when exhausted.
