Available on: Any Gong plan
Credit profiles let you set different monthly credit limits for different team members. Each profile has an overall monthly limit and, optionally, separate limits by feature. One profile is always the default: it applies to any team member who hasn't been assigned a specific profile.
Once you have profiles set up, you can assign them to team members, edit them, or delete them.
Create a credit profile
Create a profile to define different credit limits for different groups of team members.
To create a credit profile:
From the left sidebar, click Admin center.
In the Settings tab, click Gong credits under Reports.
Click the Credit profiles tab.
Click + New profile.
Click the profile name field at the top of the page and enter a name.
(Optional) Enter a description for the profile.
In the Overall monthly limit section, select how to limit credit usage for this profile:
Don't limit: Team members assigned this profile have no monthly credit cap.
Set limit: Enter a number in the Credits field. This is the maximum number of credits team members on this profile can use each month across all features.
(Optional) Add limits by feature in the Limits by feature section:
Click + Add feature limit and select a feature.
Enter the maximum number of credits for that feature in the Credits field. Each feature limit can be set to up to the overall monthly limit amount.
Repeat for any additional features.
Note: If no feature limit is set for a feature, the overall monthly limit applies to that feature's usage.
Click Save.
Tip:
To assign team members to this profile, click Assign profile in the profile list. This opens the Team members page with that profile pre-selected.

Frequently asked questions
When does the monthly credit limit reset?
The limit resets on the first day of each calendar month. Unused credits within a team member's monthly limit do not carry over to the next month.
What happens when a team member reaches their monthly limit?
Access to credit-consuming features is paused for that team member for the rest of the month. Access resumes automatically when the limit resets on the first of the next month.
Can I set a feature limit higher than the overall monthly limit?
No. Each feature limit can be set to up to the overall monthly limit amount. For example, if the overall limit is 500, you can set each feature limit to up to 500. The combined total of all feature limits can exceed the overall limit, but the overall monthly limit is still the hard cap on total credit usage. A team member can't consume more than their overall limit in a month regardless of how their feature limits are set.
Can a team member be blocked by the company's credit pool even if they haven't reached their profile limit?
Yes. If your company's shared credit pool runs out, credit-consuming features are paused for all team members regardless of how much of their individual monthly limit remains. A team member's profile limit and the company pool are independent: either one can block access when exhausted.
