To set Gong up so that web conference calls are automatically recorded, make sure the following is configured:

| Some team members may always have sensitive conversations and their conversations shouldn’t be recorded. If you switch the Web conferences toggle off, calls for that team member may still be recorded if other participants are set to record web conference calls. Set the team member to Never record to prevent any call they attend from being recorded. | |
Connect Gong to web conference providers | Calls can be recorded with the Gong bot or in Zoom, native Zoom recording is available. The Gong bot is a virtual participant which must be present in the meeting in order for Gong to record the call. | With some providers, it is possible to automatically generate meeting links which display a consent page before the meeting starts. Define the company’s recording settings | These settings are applied company wide and include whether to record internal meetings as well as external ones. In addition, you can set whether calls should be recorded as long as at least one participant is set to be recorded, or to require the meeting host to have their profile set to be recorded. | If you have multiple domains in your company, add them to the data protection and privacy page so that Gong will identify participants joining a call from those domains as team members. |
