The Gong app for Zoom runs during your calls so you can take notes, bookmark moments, and check your talk ratio without leaving Zoom. Everything syncs to Gong when the call ends.

Take notes
Notes you write in the app are saved as comments and come into Gong with the call, so you do not have to write anything up afterwards. As with any comment, you choose who sees it: everyone at your company, specific people, or only you.
Teammates who are on the call with the app open see your notes as you write them, and can reply. Your customers never see them.
If the call is pushed to Salesforce as a task, your notes go with it.
Mark an important moment
Bookmark a moment in the call as it happens, rather than trying to find it again later. Once the call is in Gong, your bookmarks appear in the comment panel, and clicking the timestamp takes you straight to that point in the call.
See how much you're talking
Open the Interaction tab to see your talk ratio while the call is still going, so you can adjust in the moment instead of finding out afterwards.
If you talk for more than two and a half minutes without a break, the app tells you.
Note:
Interaction data only appears if the person who owns the call has the app open. If you are on someone else's call and the tab is empty, that is why.
See the live transcript
Follow the conversation in writing as it happens, which helps if you have joined late or missed something. The live transcript is off until you turn it on.
To see the live transcript:
In the app, click the Transcript tab.
Choose the language of the call.
The live transcript is available in English (US, Australia, UK), Spanish (US), French (France, Canada), German, Hindi (India), Italian, Japanese, and Korean.
Important:
Everyone on the call, including your customers, sees a message when you turn the live transcript on.
Note:
The live transcript is less accurate than the transcript on the call in Gong afterwards. Use it to keep up during the call, and use the one in Gong when the wording matters.
Frequently asked questions
The Transcript tab isn't doing anything. Why?
Your Gong admin needs to turn on live-streaming from Zoom to the Gong app before anyone at your company can see the live transcript. Ask them to check it.
Can my customers see my notes?
No. Notes are only seen by people at your company, and only by the people you choose. The one way a customer could see them is if you share the app screen from the app menu during the call.
Do I have to turn the live transcript on for every call?
Yes. The live transcript starts off on every call, so turn it on each time you want it. There is no setting that keeps it on for you.
