Who can use this: Any team member
Available on: Any Gong plan
The My settings page is where you review your Gong connections and manage personal data preferences. Open it by clicking your profile avatar at the top right and selecting My settings. What you see depends on your company's setup and the products you use.
Connect your calendar and web conference recording
Connect your calendar when Gong isn't recording your calls, or when you haven't completed your initial setup. The Web conference recording and Calendar meetings sections show whether Gong is set up to record your calls and import your scheduled meetings.
Note:
If your company uses a company-wide calendar connection, your admin manages this and you may not see a Connect option. Learn more about troubleshooting unrecorded calls.
To connect your calendar:
Click your profile avatar at the top right and select My settings.
Under Web conference recording, click Connect.
Follow the on-screen steps to authorize Gong in your calendar and web conference provider.
If you see a warning or error after connecting, try reconnecting. If the issue persists, contact your tech admin, who may need to update your data capture settings or provider permissions.
Connect your email
Connect your mailbox when Gong isn't importing your emails, or when you want to send emails through Gong with an Engage seat. Only external emails with contacts in your CRM are imported.
To connect your email:
Click your profile avatar at the top right and select My settings.
Under Emails, in the Import and permissions section, click Connect.
Follow the on-screen steps to authorize Gong in your email provider.
Manage which emails Gong imports
Your do-not-import list prevents Gong from importing email exchanges between you and specific addresses, such as personal contacts. Emails with multiple recipients where only some are on the list may still be imported.
To add an address to your do-not-import list:
Click your profile avatar at the top right and select My settings.
Under Emails, find the Do-not-import list.
Enter the email address or addresses, separated by commas.
Click Update List.
Opt in to voice identification
Voice identification uses a sample of your recorded calls to recognize your voice on telephony calls, improving speaker attribution accuracy. This section only appears in My settings if your admin has enabled the feature for your company.
To opt in to Voice identification:
Click your profile avatar at the top right and select My settings.
Under Voice identification, click Review and agree.
Read the terms and confirm your consent.
Note:
Gong collects up to five short voice recordings and looks for at least two minutes of recorded speech to build your voice profile. Voice identification applies to telephony calls only, not web conference calls. Learn more about how Gong identifies speakers.
Check your connection status
These sections show whether your Gong integrations are active and working. They are read-only. Contact your Tech admin if you see a warning or error.
Call import: Shows whether calls from a telephony system are set up to import into Gong. Managed by your tech admin.
Gong Connect: Shows whether you're set up to record calls from the Gong mobile app. If you use Engage, this section also shows business numbers available to you and lets you set your personal number for inbound forwarding.
CRM Connection: Shows whether your CRM integration is active and whether you can edit deal boards in Gong with data synced to your CRM.
Contact your tech admin if any of these indicators show an issue.
Find your manager, team, and company admins
My settings shows your manager, your team, and the business and technical admins for your company. If you need to contact someone about a settings change or access issue, this is where to find them.
Your manager and team reflect the hierarchy configured by your company. If something looks incorrect, contact your tech admin — hierarchy is usually managed by automatic provisioning.
Business admins can configure business settings and most coaching areas.
Technical admins can configure company-wide settings, integrations, and user access.

Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see a Connect option for my calendar in My settings?
Your company may use a company-wide calendar connection managed by your admin. In that case, you don't connect individually and no Connect button appears. Check with your tech admin which connection method your company uses.
My settings page looks different from what's described here.
Which sections appear in My settings depends on your company's configuration, your data capture settings, and the integrations your company has set up. Not every team member sees all sections.
