Who can use this: Business admin
Available on: Gong Forecast
Ideal for: RevOps
Required permissions: Manage dashboards
Once your dashboard is created, you can update its settings, duplicate it for a new audience, star it for quick access, temporarily hide it from viewers, or delete it. Most actions are available from the More actions icon at the top of the dashboard. Some options differ depending on whether the dashboard is published or in draft.
Edit dashboard settings
Update a dashboard's name, description, or date filter type when your requirements change after creation. For example, rename it for a new audience or adjust the period type after adding new widgets.
To edit dashboard settings:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and open the dashboard you want to manage.
Click the More actions
icon and select Edit dashboard settings.
Update the Name, Description, or Period type as needed.
Click Save.
Important:
Changing the date filter type can break widgets that are already configured. Forecast rollup and Target Attainment widgets only support fiscal dates. Switching to a Rolling range picker may make some widgets unsupported or prevent them from displaying data as expected.
Duplicate a dashboard
Duplicating a dashboard creates a copy with all the same widgets and settings. Use this as a starting point when you need a similar dashboard for a different audience or business question.
To duplicate a dashboard:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and open the dashboard you want to manage.
Click the More actions
icon and select Duplicate dashboard.
Gong creates a copy and opens it. Edit the name and settings as needed.
Star a dashboard
Star a dashboard you open frequently so it appears under Starred at the top of the left sidebar, without scrolling through your full list.
To star a dashboard:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and open the dashboard you want to manage.
Click the More actions
icon and select Star dashboard.
The dashboard appears immediately under Starred in the sidebar. To remove it from Starred, click Unstar dashboard.
Switch to draft
Switching a published dashboard to draft makes it invisible to viewers. Only team members with the Manage dashboards permission can see it until it is published again. This option only appears on published dashboards.
To switch a dashboard to draft:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and open the dashboard you want to manage.
Click the More actions
icon and select Switch to draft.
To publish the dashboard again, click Publish and share. See Publish and share a dashboard.
Delete a dashboard
Deleting a dashboard permanently removes it and all its widgets. This action cannot be undone.
To delete a dashboard:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and open the dashboard you want to manage.
Click the More actions
icon and select Delete dashboard.
Review the confirmation and click Delete dashboard.
Important:
Deleting a dashboard also deletes all widgets included in it. This action cannot be undone.
