Manage dashboard widgets

Add new widgets, reorganize what's already there, and delete anything that's no longer needed. All widget actions are available on both draft and published dashboards.

Add a widget

Add widgets to the dashboard to display the data that matters to your audience. See About dashboard widgets for a description of each type.

To add a widget:

1. From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and select the dashboard you want to add the widget to.

2. Click + New widget at the top right.
   Tip: To add a widget in a specific location on the canvas, hover over the border of an existing widget until a + appears, then click it and select a widget type from the gallery.

3. Select a widget type. Most widgets open a settings panel; the Text widget is added directly to the dashboard canvas.

4. Configure the widget settings and click Save.

Edit, rename, duplicate, or delete a widget

Edit widget settings, rename them, duplicate useful configurations, or delete anything that's no longer needed to keep dashboards up to date.

To edit, rename, duplicate, or delete a widget:

1. From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and select the dashboard.

2. Click the More actions icon on the widget header and select an action:    

   • Edit widget: Make your changes in the settings panel and click Save.

   • Rename widget: Enter the new name and confirm.

   • Duplicate widget: A copy appears on the same dashboard with the same settings. Edit it as needed.

   • Duplicate widget to another dashboard: Select the target dashboard. The copy appears there with the same settings, where you can edit it independently.

   • Delete widget: This removes the widget from the dashboard and cannot be undone.

Move and resize widgets

Reorganize the dashboard canvas by repositioning widgets or adjusting the widths of adjacent widgets in the same row.

To move or resize widgets:

1. From the left sidebar, click Dashboards and select the dashboard.

2. Use the following actions:    

   • Move a widget: Click the reorder icon on the widget header and drag it to a new position on the canvas.

   • Resize adjacent widgets: Hover over the border between two widgets in the same row until a purple line appears, then drag left or right to adjust their widths.
