Automatically collect calls that are important to you and your team with streams. Set the types of calls you want to collect using filters, enable notifications via Slack or email, and add team members or teams, so you all get notified when important new calls happen.
Create a stream from the search page
Go to Conversations > Search.
In the filter panel on the left, search for calls using at least one filter.
Click Create stream at the top of the page. This button only appears after you’ve filtered for calls.
In the General section: Give the stream a name and choose where to save it. By default, streams created from the search page will be saved in your library, but you can choose a different folder if you want, or save it in the company library (depending on your permissions).
In the Filters section, you’ll see the filters you used in your search. After the stream is saved, you’ll be able to edit them by editing the stream.
In the Slack notifications section, select a Slack channel. If it’s a private Slack channel, make sure Gong is invited to the channel.
Note:
For Slack notifications to be possible, your company must be connected to Slack, and the stream must be set to standard, not personalized.
Choose which AI summaries you want to display in the Slack notification.
Call brief: 1-paragraph summary of the call
Key points: 10-bullet list of main call points
Next steps: Action items from both sides of the conversation
Smart trackers: If the stream has smart tracker filters, choose whether you want to see a summary of the smart tracker mentions, or a transcript of the relevant snippets.
If the stream already has calls in it, you’ll be able to test how these summaries look in the Slack notification by clicking Test on Slack.
In the Share and set email notifications section, share the stream with other people at your company, subscriber them to email notifications, and set the notification cadence.
In the Stream type section, set whether the stream is standard or personalized.
Standard All calls are shown to everyone viewing the stream. This is required if you want to enable Slack notifications for the stream, and preferred when building a stream in the company library, so that everyone visiting the library can see all of its calls.
Personalized Each person who is subscribed to the stream only sees the calls owned by them or their team.
Save the stream.

The Economic pulse (by Gong) stream collects calls where customers discuss the economy. For example, when customers mention layoffs, recession, inflation, market dynamics or similar. These terms are defined in the Economic pulse (by Gong) tracker. Managers are automatically subscribed to the Economic Pulse (by Gong) stream, which means they get a weekly mail with calls hosted by members on their team if the economy was discussed. Managers can unsubscribe directly from the mail, or from the My Notifications page.
Note:
The mail is sent to managers based on the team hierarchy defined when they were added as Gong team members.
