Change the call owner

  • PDF

Article summary

Calls can sometimes be attributed to the wrong owner. For example, this can happen when someone sets up a call for someone else; for example, an SDR sets up a call on behalf of an AE. In cases like this, changing the call owner is important for ensuring the call is associated with the person so it appears in the right deal and stats, and can be found in the search.

Before the call

In some cases, and depending on the calendar up and who set up the meeting, you can change call ownership before the call occurs from the calendar app. Look for a “change owner” action in the meeting settings.

After the call has happened

After the call, call ownership can be changed by business admins, and by anyone who attended the call inside Gong.

  1. For recorded calls: Go to the call page and open the Call info tab.
For unrecorded calls: Go to the call page; you’ll see the call info when you open the page.

  2. Click edit.png next to the call's current host.

  3. Begin typing the name of the new owner and select them from the list.

  4. Click Next and confirm the change.
