Who can use this: Any team member
Available on: Gong Engage
Ideal for: Sales rep, Sales manager
See whether the emails you send from the Engage composer have been opened and whether anyone clicked a link in them, so you know when to follow up. Your admin decides whether Gong tracks opens and clicks for your company.
What Gong tracks
Opens: Each time the recipient's email program loads the email, Gong counts an open. Gong counts multiple opens of the same email within one hour as a single open, and does the same for multiple opens within a thread.
Link clicks: Each click on a link in your email counts as a click. The recipient doesn't notice anything different about the link.
Note:
Gong can't tell who opened an email or clicked a link.

Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see opens or clicks on my emails?
Ask your admin whether email tracking is on. Admins can turn open tracking, click tracking or both on or off. Learn more about configuring email tracking.
Why do I see opens I don't expect?
The tracking can count an open for reasons other than the recipient reading the email, for example when:
Someone forwards the email.
A spam filter scans the email.
Someone in CC or BCC opens it.

Does Gong track emails I send from outside Gong?
No. Gong tracks opens and clicks only for emails sent from the Gong email composer, and that includes flow emails.
