Post upgrade configurations for Gong for Salesforce

  • PDF

Article summary

Some upgrades include changes you need to make to the layout of different objects in Salesforce. Typically, this involves adding fields so that you can display new information in Salesforce. Once you have added these configurations, you do not need to repeat them in future upgrades.

Although we recommend that you upgrade to each version of Gong for Salesforce, this is optional and you can skip upgrades. In this situation perform all the changes in Salesforce listed from the version you upgraded from, until the latest version.

Display call spotlight in the Conversation object - Version 2.28

The call spotlight includes the call brief and the call highlights. The fields are included in the package and you need to add them to the Conversation object page layout as follows:

  1. In Salesforce, go to setup, select object manager and search for the conversation object

  2. In the conversation object, select Page layouts > Gong call layout

  3. We recommend the following layout for the spotlight:

    1. Create a section with a single column so there is enough space to display the call spotlight details

    2. Give the section a name: Call spotlight

    3. Select single column

    4. Drag the call brief and call highlights fields to the section

    5. Click save

  4. The fields are now displayed in the details of the conversation object.
