Draft an email with AI, or have AI improve one you've already written. Gong can write a draft from a to-do, a flow step or a call, and the AI Composer lets you rephrase and adjust text while you write.
Get a draft from a Gong-recommended to-do
Gong-recommended to-dos come with an AI-generated draft. The draft is based on different things, depending on the to-do:
Meeting follow-up: The transcript of the call or meeting.
Back from OOO: The original email you sent and the Out of Office reply you received.
Nudge: The previous email you sent to the person.
Meeting confirmation: The subject, date and time of the meeting.
To get a draft from a to-do:
From the left sidebar, click To-dos.
Click the to-do to open it.
Click Write email.

Generate an email in a flow
Add a generated email to a flow step, so Gong writes a draft each time someone reaches that step.
To generate an email in a flow step:
Open the flow, and add or edit a step that sends an email.
Choose Generate an email.
Choose the type of email:
Nudge email: A message that references your last email and gently reminds someone to get back to you.
Cold email: A first message to a new prospect, written from details you give Gong.
For a cold email, Gong asks you for a few quick details about the prospect, their company and their industry when the prospect reaches the step. Send the draft right away, or click Edit to adjust your answers and regenerate it.
Write a follow-up email from a call
Generate a follow-up email from the call page when you want a summary of the call ready to send.
To generate a follow-up email from a call:
Open the page of the call you want to follow up on.
In the top right corner, click Generate follow-up email.
Note:
Gong writes the follow-up in the call's language, which you can see in the Call info panel.
Tip:
To get the email in English, click Generate follow-up email again to regenerate it. You can also ask for another language in a prompt in the composer.
Rephrase and refine with the AI Composer
Use the AI Composer to improve what you've written or draft new text, in emails, templates, blocks and flows. Add your own instructions to steer the result.
To rephrase content:
In the composer, select the text you want to update, or place your cursor in the email body. To rephrase the subject line, select it, or rephrase the subject and body together.
Click the AI icon.
Choose a suggested action, or enter your own instructions. For example: "Make this more concise", "Sound more consultative" or "Add a stronger call to action".
Review the result. To adjust it, repeat steps 2 and 3.
Note:
The AI Composer uses account context to write more relevant messaging. Depending on who you're emailing, that can include calls, emails, CRM context, account activity and notes.
