Any call you have access to

Gong automatically transcribes your calls so you can focus on the conversation in real time and revisit what was said later. The transcript appears alongside the call recording and is synced with the audio, so you can:

  • Follow along with the conversation as it happened

  • Collaborate with colleagues over snippets

  • Translate the transcript to your preferred language

  • Download the translate for future reference

Transcripts are the foundation for many AI-powered features, including AI briefs, smart trackers, and more.

View a transcript

  1. Go to the call page and click Transcript on the left side of the screen.

  2. The transcript opens next to the call video. As the audio plays, the corresponding lines are highlighted so you can follow along. As you do, you can:

    • Click any line to jump to that point in the call

    • Search for specific words or phrases

    • Select part of the transcript to open an action menu and:

      • Create a snippet

      • Share the snippet with colleagues or customers

      • Add a comment

      • Add the snippet to the library

Tip: Improve transcript accuracy by adding common misspellings to the custom vocabulary.

Translate a transcript

Understand and gain insights into your team’s calls, even if they’re in a language you don’t speak with transcript translation. When you translate a transcript, Spotlight is automatically translated too. With translation, you can:

  • Spot collaborative moments and share them with your team

  • Understand what reps are saying, even if you don’t speak the same language

  • Give and receive feedback from colleagues who speak different languages

Translation is available for all calls into any supported language; quality is highest for hyper-optimized languages.

How to translate

  1. Go to the call page.

  2. Click the translation icon in the top right corner of the transcript panel.

  3. Choose the language you want to translate into.

  4. To automatically translate future calls in this language, check Always translate.

What you can do from the translated transcript

  • Play the recording

  • Add a comment

  • Share a snippet or add it to the call library.  

Considerations

  • The translation is visible only to you; it doesn’t affect the original transcript.

  • Shared snippets are received in the original language.

  • Snippets saved to the library are saved in the original language.

  • To return to the original language, click the translation icon and select the original language.

  • Search isn’t available in translated transcripts.

Download a transcript

  1. Go to the call page.

  2. Click in the top right corner and click Download > Transcript.

    If you've translated the transcript, the download will be in the translated language.
