Sometimes dashboards display different data than you expect or do not respond to your selections. Use this guide to identify the cause and resolve common issues.
The dashboard is loading or showing no data
A blank or spinning dashboard can have several causes. Work through these checks before contacting your admin.
To troubleshoot a loading or blank dashboard:
Refresh the page and wait for the dashboard to fully load.
If the issue persists, try opening the dashboard in a new browser tab or a different browser. If it loads there, clear your browser cache and cookies.
If you navigated to the dashboard from a saved bookmark, open it from the left sidebar instead. Dashboard URLs can change when a dashboard is republished or renamed.
Try changing the team or period selection. A blank widget may mean no data matches the current combination of team and period selection.
If the dashboard is consistently blank across browsers and selections, contact your admin. The metric or widget configuration may need attention.
A widget doesn't respond to my team or period selection
This is expected behavior for fixed widgets. When a widget is configured with specific team and period values, it ignores the dashboard-level selectors by design.
To confirm whether the behavior is intentional:
Check whether the widget shows a note saying Dashboard selections don't apply.
If the note is present, the widget is intentionally fixed. If no note is present, contact your admin to investigate the widget configuration.
Records are missing from a widget or drilldown
The records visible in a widget or drilldown depend on how the metric is defined and what your data permissions allow. Missing records are not always a sign that something is broken.
Common reasons records may be missing:
Data permissions: you may not have visibility into all the records counted in the metric. The widget total can include records you can't see individually in the drilldown.
Metric conditions: the metric may filter records by stage, date field, or other criteria that exclude records you expect to see.
Backfill in progress: if your admin recently changed the metric definition, the data may still be recalculating.
Contact your admin and ask them to verify the metric conditions and your data permissions. Share a specific example: which records you expected to see and which period you had selected.
The widget value and drilldown don't match
The number shown in a widget and the number of records in its drilldown can differ.
Common reasons for a mismatch:
Different date fields: the metric may filter records on one date field (such as Created date) while the drilldown groups or displays them by another (such as Close date).
Deal board filters: the drilldown inherits column layout from a deal board configured by your admin. That board may have its own filters that include or exclude deals differently.
Product line items: some widgets count line-item products, while the drilldown shows the parent deal records. The counts can differ legitimately.
If the mismatch is significant and recurring, contact your admin with a specific example: the widget value, the period and team you selected, and the number of records visible in the drilldown.
