Dashboards display business metrics in widgets you can interact with. Understanding how widgets get their data, which selections affect them, and what you see when you drill into their underlying data helps you interpret them accurately.
How widgets display data
Each widget on a dashboard pulls its values from metrics, targets, and forecast submissions configured by your admin. The values displayed in widgets are based on their underlying definition, such as which records qualify for aggregation by the metric and how they are filtered.
Widget types
Dashboards can include the following widget types:
Custom charts show metric/s data as bar charts, tables, or pie charts with optional breakdowns by team, date, or other dimensions.
KPI widgets show a single metric value, with optional attainment comparison against a target or another metric.
Performance widgets show a table comparing reps or teams across one or more metrics, with optional color coding.
Target attainment widgets show team and individual target attainment over time.
Record list widgets show records from a predefined list view.
Deals widgets show 20 deals from a selected deal board, based on custom criteria such as highest amount.
Forecast rollups show forecast submissions grouped by team and forecast category.
Funnel widgets show deal progression through sales stages, with conversion rates, win rates, and average time at each stage.
Trends widgets show week-over-week pipeline analysis alongside forecast submissions and projected numbers.
Changes widgets show how the total amount in a forecast category changed over time, highlighting the change reasons.
Flows widgets show how deals move through your sales process stages.
Dynamic vs. fixed widgets
The team and period selectors at the top of the dashboard change the context, depending on how your admin set them:
Dynamic widgets update when you change the team or period. They're configured to use the dashboard's current selection.
Fixed widgets always display the same team or period regardless of your selection. A fixed widget shows a note: Dashboard selections don't apply.
Fixed widget behavior is set by the admin and is intentional. If you need a widget to respond to your selections, contact your admin to update the widget's configuration.
Target attainment
Where a widget is set to display a metric against a target, it shows attainment: how the actual value compares to the goal. Attainment appears alongside the metric value as a progress bar.
Color ranges on performance widgets are configured by the admin and may vary across dashboards. The same color may mean different attainment levels on different dashboards. Contact your admin if you're unsure what a specific color or threshold represents.
Drilldown records
Most metric values and chart segments are clickable. Clicking a value opens a list showing the individual records that make up that result.
A few things to know about drilldown results:
The drilldown shows the records that matched the metric's conditions at calculation time. This may differ from your deal board if your board uses different filters, stages, or date fields.
Your data permissions apply: you'll only see records you're allowed to view, even if the widget total includes more.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the drilldown show more or fewer deals than I expected?
The drilldown reflects the metric's definition, not your personal deal board filters. Differences in the date field, deal stage range, or conditions used to build the metric can produce a different set of records. Contact your admin if the gap seems too large.
How often does dashboard data update?
Dashboard values reflect your CRM sync cadence and any metric backfill processing.
Why can't I see all the deals behind a widget value?
The widget total may include deals you don't have visibility into based on your data permissions or CRM ownership settings. The total shown in the widget and the records visible in the drilldown can differ for this reason. Contact your admin to review your data access if you believe records are missing.
