Send a feedback request to ask a manager, peer, or anyone at your company to review a specific call. You must have attended the call to send a request. Add a message or a snippet to point the reviewer to what you want them to look at. You can also ask for feedback by tagging your direct manager in a comment on a call you attended, or by sharing the call internally with them. Learn more about what counts as feedback.
To request feedback:
Open the call and click the Feedback icon on the right side of the page.
Click Request feedback.
In the Request feedback from field, keep your manager, who is selected by default, or search for and select someone else.
(Optional) Click Create snippet to include a specific segment of the call. Select the start and end times, then return to the request.
(Optional) Enter a message in the text field to give context for the request.
Click Send.
The recipient receives an email notification and a notification in the Received tab of the Collaboration section on their home page. If you requested feedback from your direct manager, the request also appears in their Coaching inbox under open requests.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I see the requests I've sent?
On your home page, open the Collaboration section, and then open the Sent tab to see all feedback requests you've sent and whether they've been responded to.
Can I request feedback from someone outside my company?
No. You can send feedback requests only to people inside your company who have a Gong account.
Why doesn't my request appear in my manager's Coaching inbox?
Coaching inbox shows requests for external calls associated with an account or opportunity, where the host is a direct report of the manager. If the call is internal, not associated with a CRM record, or the hierarchy isn't set up correctly, the request may not appear. Coaching inbox also updates once a day, so allow up to 24 hours.
