To work with Gong Engage, an Engage seat is required. This feature is designed for reps to manage emails efficiently within Gong Engage, providing context and tools for high-quality emails. The platform includes tabs for Delivered, Drafts, Scheduled, Failed, and All emails, allowing users to track, schedule, and filter their emails. Users can resend failed emails after addressing the issues causing the failure. Only individual emails and drafts are visible, not team emails. Emails sent are logged in the CRM system. The data retention policy for emails is determined by the company's admin settings. Deleting an email from the platform removes it from the page but not from other areas in Gong.
Note:

Start managing your emails
To start managing your emails in Engage, make sure you've connected your email account so your emails will be imported into Gong.
Each time you visit Messages, you'll land on the Delivered tab first by default. Your emails are categorized into different tabs so you can easily find what you need:
To see when an email is scheduled to be sent, hover over the Scheduled status label.
Note that some emails that are part of a flow can't be deleted, including auto email flow steps and manual email flow steps that have been manually scheduled.
Delivered: This tab contains any emails you sent out of Engage that were successfully delivered. It does not include emails sent by your teammates or anyone else at your company.
To track email opens and link clicks that occurred since the date the email was sent, hover over the blue lightning icon next to a delivered email.
If the person you sent the email to is linked to an account, you'll see an account name in the Account column.
To delete a delivered email, click and click Delete. Deleting an email from here removes it from Emails, but it's still visible from other areas in Gong, such as the activity timeline.
To see when an email was delivered, hover over the Delivered status label.

Drafts: See any draft you started working on in the email composer and have not yet sent or scheduled to be sent. Any time you click Write email in Engage, an email draft is created for you.
To send an email draft now, schedule it to be sent, or delete it, click .
Note that some emails that are part of a flow can't be deleted, including auto email flow steps and manual email flow steps that have been manually scheduled.
To see when a draft was created and last modified, hover over the Draft status label.
Scheduled: Here, you can find any email drafts you created and scheduled to be sent later. This tab also includes any automatic email flow steps you've set up, as these steps are scheduled for a specific date and time by default.
In this tab, you may also see emails with the status label Pending, meaning we've delayed your email as a part of our email throttling system to prevent you from getting marked as spam. If you see the Pending status, there is no action needed from your end. We'll send out your email as soon as possible.
Failed: This tab shows any emails that bounced or couldn't be sent because of an error. Hover over the Failed status label to find out why the email failed and whether there are any steps you can take to send it successfully, depending on what went wrong.
All: See all emails here.
From any tab, click on an email to expand the thread in a right-side panel.
Filter your emails
Within every tab, you have the option to filter your emails by various attributes such as status, account, and delivered date. If you filter by status, we automatically take you to the relevant tab showing emails with the status you select.
