Dashboard filters apply shared criteria across your dashboard's supported widgets so viewers can focus on specific data without changing the view for anyone else. You configure, lock, and remove filters from an existing dashboard. Changes take effect for viewers only after you click Publish filters.
Add a filter
Add a filter when you want viewers to be able to narrow the dashboard to a specific segment, such as a territory, account tier, or product line, without you needing to build a separate dashboard for each. Available fields depend on your CRM integration and the entities imported into Gong.
To add a filter:
Open the dashboard.
Click Filters.
Click Add filter.
Select an entity, then choose the field and value to filter by.
(Optional) Click the Lock icon
next to the filter to lock it.
Note: Locked filters are visible to viewers but cannot be changed by them.Click Publish filters.
Note:
Unpublished changes appears at the top of the filter panel until you publish. To revert unpublished changes without publishing, click Discard.
Lock or unlock a filter
Lock a filter when you want all viewers to see the same data slice, for example to ensure a leadership review always shows Q4 data regardless of who opens it. Unlock it when you want viewers to explore different cuts themselves, such as filtering by their own territory or team. Admins can change the lock state at any time and republish.
To lock or unlock a filter:
Open the dashboard.
Click Filters.
Click the Lock icon
next to the filter to toggle it:Locked: Viewers see the filter value but cannot change it.
Unlocked: Viewers can change the filter value when they open the dashboard.
Click Publish filters.
Remove a filter
Remove a filter when it's no longer relevant or you want viewers to see the full unfiltered data. The change takes effect for all viewers after you publish.
To remove a filter:
Open the dashboard.
Click Filters.
Click the delete icon next to the filter you want to remove.
Click Publish filters.

Frequently asked questions
Can viewers add their own filters?
No. Viewers can only interact with filters you have configured. They can change the value of unlocked filters but cannot add new filters or remove existing ones.
A CRM field I need isn't available as a filter option. Why?
Available filter fields depend on which CRM objects and fields have been imported into Gong. If a field isn't showing, confirm it has been imported in Admin center. New fields may take several hours to sync after import.
Can I filter account data using deal fields?
No. Deal data can be filtered by account fields, but account data cannot currently be filtered by deal fields.
I applied filters but a widget is showing no data. What happened?
Check that the widget supports dashboard filters (see Which widgets support dashboard filters above) and that the Apply dashboard filters toggle in its settings is on. Some metric types, including historical and timeless metrics, may not respond to all filter types.
