About the Account console

Who can use this: Any team member

Available on: Gong Foundation

Ideal for: Sales rep, Sales manager, RevOps

The Account console is a single-account workspace that brings together CRM data, activity history, open deals, AI insights, and integrated third-party apps in one place. Where Account boards help you manage accounts at scale, the Account console shows one account at a time.

Account console layout

The Account console has a header with quick actions, a set of tabs you navigate to review different aspects of the account, and a display of various widgets showing information about the account (for example: Account details, Open and recently closed deals, Last recorded call, and more). The Last recorded call card shows only completed, recorded calls that Gong has analyzed in your current workspace.

Header actions

  • Assistant: Click the Assistant button to ask natural-language questions about the account and its deals.

  • Quick links: Open the account's website, LinkedIn profile, or Sales Navigator page directly.

  • Subscribe: Click the bell icon to receive weekly email updates about activity on this account.

  • More actions: Click the Actions menu, and select Open in CRM to open the account in your CRM. Admins can also customize the Account console layout.

Tabs

  • Overview: At-a-glance account status: account details, AI brief, open and recently closed deals, and the last 21 days of engagement activity.

  • Activity: The full interaction timeline from account creation to 12 weeks into the future, covering calls, emails, meetings, CRM updates, and digital interactions. The Activity tab works as it did on the Account page. You can filter by deal, Search text, person, and the Calls only toggle. Comments can be public, shared with specific people, or visible only to you.

  • Briefs: AI-generated account summary. Change the brief type, scope, and time period from this tab.

  • Contacts: View contacts associated with the account and add them to flows. Requires Gong Engage.

  • To-dos: Tasks linked to this account. Requires Gong Engage.

  • Notes: Team notes for the account. Requires Gong Engage.

  • CRM: CRM fields for the account, with inline editing for supported field types. Requires Gong Engage.

  • Apps: Third-party tools, when enabled, such as Sales Navigator, 6sense, MadKudu, and Crossbeam. Contact your admin to enable additional tools.

Open the Account console

The Account console is accessible from several places in Gong. The Account panel gives fast access to key account information from Account boards and the call page.

  • From Account boards: Click an account name on any board to open the Account panel, then click Go to account.

  • From search: Search for an account name using the search bar at the top of the page and select the account from the results.

  • From a deal: From the left sidebar, click Revenue, and select Deals. Click a company name to open its deal, then click Review account.

  • From a digest or notification: Account update notifications and weekly digests include direct links to the Account console for the relevant accounts.

  • From a call page: Click the account icon while viewing any call to open the Account panel, then click Go to account.

  • From meeting prep: Click the account icon on the meeting preparation page to open the Account panel.

Access by team member type

What you see in the Account console depends on your seat type.

  • Licensed team members: Can use all tabs. Team members with Assistant access can also use the Assistant. On a licensed team member's first visit, the Assistant panel opens with a short introduction.

  • Collaborators: Collaborators (non-licensed users) can see the activity timeline. They don't have access to the other Account console features.
