The Account console is the single source of truth for account activity and information in Gong. It brings together Gong AI insights, recent account activity, CRM data, and integrations into one unified workspace, so revenue teams can quickly understand what’s happening, collaborate, and take action from one place.
Whether you’re researching an account, managing an active deal, or stepping in to support a customer conversation, the Account console helps you:
Stay up to date on every account: Understand account status, open deals, stakeholders, and recent customer activity–at a glance.
Access complete account context: View AI summaries, activity history, CRM data, and integrated tools (like Sales Navigator) directly from Gong, and without leaving your workflow.
Support handoffs and cross-team collaboration: Get a shared, reliable view of account history, interactions, and stakeholders so transitions are seamless.
Research and qualify accounts faster: Build a clear picture of an account before first outreach using AI Briefer, recent activity, and integrated data sources.
Get aligned before high-stakes conversations: Sales leaders, managers, and supporting roles can quickly get up to speed on account health, deal progress, and recent engagement before joining customer interactions.
Note:
Collaborators (non-licensed users) can see the activity timeline, providing essential account visibility. They do not have access to the new account console functionality in any plan.
Understanding the Account console layout
The Account console is organized into clear sections so you can quickly find the information you need.

Header
The header provides quick actions and remains visible throughout the Account console.
Ask anything: Get AI-powered insights about the account or specific deals.
Quick links: Open the company website, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator.
Subscribe to account updates: Click
to receive weekly email updates.More actions: Click
to open the account in your CRM.
Navigation tabs
The navigation tabs divide the Account console into clear areas, making it easy to find and work with different types of account information.
Overview: Your at-a-glance view of the account, including account details, AI Briefer, deals, and recent activity.
Activity: The complete activity timeline showing all interactions, including calls, emails, CRM updates, and digital engagement.
Contacts: Available with Gong Engage.
View contacts for the account.
Click on a name to open the full Contact panel.
To-do’s: Available with Gong Engage.
View To-dos related to the account, including required action, contact, due date, and assignee. Click + New to-do to add a task.
Notes: Available with Gong Engage.
View notes added by team members or add a note about the account and click Save.
CRM: Available with Gong Engage.
Click
to update CRM fields directly from the Account panel. Click Show/ Hide fields, then Apply to customize which fields are visible.
Note:
Gong checks your CRM permissions and validation rules before applying updates.
This capability is controlled by the Update CRM fields permission. Contact your Tech admin for support.
You will need to sign in to your CRM the first time.
Editing is supported for Salesforce, HubSpot, and Dynamics 365.
Some Dynamics 365 fields may have editing restrictions
In HubSpot, updates made in Gong override HubSpot field permissions
Apps: Direct access to integrated third-party tools (when activated by your company), including Sales Navigator, MadKudu, Crossbeam, 6sense, and more.
Overview tab
The Overview tab highlights the most important account information through widgets:
Account details: View essential information from Gong and your CRM in one place, including account type, owner, and last activity date. The activity visualization helps you spot engagement patterns and identify gaps that may need attention.
Get briefed: Generate AI-powered summaries to quickly understand account context—especially useful when:
Taking over an account
Researching and qualifying accounts
Reviewing account health during renewals
Deals: See all open and recently closed deals related to the account. Click any deal to open the activity tab filtered by the deal.
Recent activities: View a snapshot of recent account engagement from the last 21 days.
Toggle Calls only to show only call-related activities. This helps you quickly review what was discussed in conversations without distraction from other activity types.

The Activity tab preserves all the functionality of the previous account page, so your existing workflows remain unchanged. It includes:

Filter bar
The filter bar lets you refine the activity timeline and feed. To remove a filter, click the X next to it. Filter options include:

Select a deal: Click V to choose from all deals for the account.
Activity key: Hover over
to view the timeline legend. Click Customize to control what appears in grey bubbles, such as:
Activities from 3rd parties.
All account activity (when viewing a particular deal).

Search text: Search for a word or phrase and highlight matching activity.
Filter by person: Filter by customer or teammate using name or role to view specific interactions and quickly understand engagement. You can select multiple users and contacts.
Calls only: Show only call-related activities.
Click
to customize the activity view (see no. 2 above).
You can view contact details by clicking the + next to your company or account name, or from any contact name shown in the Activity tab. Hover over the contact and click View.

Activity timeline
The timeline spans from account creation to 12 weeks into the future and shows activity in two tracks:
Your activity (purple) - Your company's interactions
Account activity (pink) - The account's engagement and responses

Timeline navigation:
Bubbles represent calls, emails, CRM updates, and engagement events, depending on your Gong integrations..
Larger bubbles indicate higher activity.
You can:
Move through time using navigation arrows
Switch between day, month, quarter, and year views
Click a bubble to zoom into a smaller time range

Located below the timeline, the activity history shows a chronological list of interactions, including:

Emails and invitations
Digital interactions
CRM updates

Comments
Use comments to collaborate with teammates on account activities:

When you comment, you'll automatically receive notifications for future comments on that account.

Go to Revenue > Deals.
Click a company name to open the deal panel.
Click Review account.

From email digests
Open the Account Console directly from links in daily or weekly digest emails and account update notifications.

The Account panel gives you fast access to key account information without leaving your workflow. It reduces context switching and provides a consistent entry point into the Account Console.
