Who can use this: Business admin

Available on: Gong Foundation

Ideal for: RevOps

Customize the Account console view to control which account fields and which default AI brief your team sees. Each workspace has its own view, and changes only go live when you publish.

Before you begin

  • A published account-level brief, created in Agent Studio under AI Briefer.

  • Know which workspace you're configuring. Each workspace has its own published Account console view. Team members see the view for their workspace.

Important:

Publishing applies your changes to all team members and all accounts in the selected workspace immediately. The editor has no rollback button for a published view. Review your configuration in Preview before clicking Publish.

Step 1: Open the configuration editor

Add the fields your team needs to see, set a default brief, and preview your changes before they go live.

To open the configuration editor:

  1. From the left sidebar, click Admin center.

  2. In the Settings tab, click Account console view under the Data studio card.

Tip:

You can also open the configuration editor from any Account console page. Open any account, click the Actions menu Action Menu.svg in the header, and click Edit account view.

Step 2: Configure Account details fields

The Account details section controls which CRM and Gong fields appear in the Overview tab. Add fields your team needs for account reviews; remove those they don't.

To add fields to the view:

  1. Click Account details in the left panel.

  2. Click Add field and select an option:

    • Account CRM fields

    • Gong fields

  3. Search for and select a field to add it.

  4. (Optional) To reorder fields, drag them into position.

  5. (Optional) To remove a field, click the remove icon next to it.

Note:

A field must be imported first. Your Tech admin can import it in the Data import tab of your CRM integration page in Admin center, under the Account object.

Tip:

Preview on the right updates automatically as you make changes, using real account data.

Step 3: Set a default brief

The default brief appears when a team member opens the Briefs tab in the Account console. Team members can pick a different brief when they generate one.

To set a default brief:

  1. Click Brief in the left panel.

  2. Click the Brief dropdown, and select a published account-level brief.

  3. Click the Period dropdown, and select a preset or a custom date range.

Step 4: Save or publish

Review your configuration in Preview, then save a draft to finish later or publish to make the view live for your workspace.

To save or publish your changes:

  1. Click Preview to review your configuration.

  2. Choose what you want to do:

    • Save: Stores a draft that is visible to all admins with the permission. Team members don't see it.

    • Publish: Confirm in the dialog. This view becomes the active view for all team members.

    • Discard: Reverts to the last saved draft.

Note:

Discard works on unsaved edits only. It asks you to confirm: "Discard changes? All changes will be lost." If you want to revert to the published state, you must manually reconfigure and publish again.

Frequently asked questions

Can I configure different views for different teams?

Yes, if your Gong instance uses multiple workspaces. Each workspace has its own published Account console view, so you can configure different field sets and default briefs per workspace. If your company uses a single workspace, all team members share the same published view.

Why don't team members see my saved draft?

A saved draft is visible to every admin with the permission, not only to you, but team members don't see it. Changes must be published before they appear for the rest of your team. Click Publish to make the view live.
