Ideal for: RevOps
Required permissions: Manage dashboards
Add an Engage Flows widget to compare how your flows perform. The widget is a table that lists each flow, with a column for each result you choose, such as meetings booked or emails replied to.
Viewers can sort the table by any column, and click a figure to see the flows behind it when you've chosen a drilldown view. The Engage flow performance template already includes this widget, titled Outcome counts per flow.
Step 1: Open the dashboard
You add widgets from inside an existing dashboard, so start by opening the one you want to build out. If you haven't created a dashboard yet, do that first.
To open the dashboard:
From the left sidebar, click Dashboards.
Select the dashboard you want to add the widget to.
Click + New widget at the top right of the dashboard.
Select Engage Flows.
Step 2: Choose the metrics
Each metric becomes a column, so the metrics you choose set what viewers can compare across your flows. A new widget starts with a set of metrics that most teams want, which you can keep, change or add to.
To choose the metrics:
Review the metrics in the settings panel. A new widget starts with these:
Flow instances (#): The number of times people were added to a flow in the period. Someone added twice counts twice.
Flows in progress (#): Flows with the status In progress, where the status changed in the period.
Flows completed (#): Flows that finished in the period.
Flow meetings booked (#): Flows in which a meeting was booked. Cancelled and recurring meetings aren't counted.
Flow calls connected (#): Flows in which a call was connected. A call counts as connected when its outcome is marked as connected in your call outcome settings.
Flow emails sent (#): Flows in which at least one email was sent. A flow counts once, however many emails it sent.
Flow emails opened (#): Flows in which at least one email was opened.
Flow emails clicked (#): Flows in which at least one email was clicked.
Flow emails replied (#): Flows in which at least one email got a reply. Automatic replies aren't counted.
(Optional) Refine the metrics using the following options:
Add a metric: Click Add metric, and select a flow metric.
Rename a metric: Enter a name in the display name field of the metric. The name becomes the column heading.
Change the order: Drag the metric to a new position.
Remove a metric: Remove a metric you don't need. The widget needs at least one metric.
Drilldown view: Select a view to let viewers click a figure to see the flows behind it. Each metric has its own drilldown view.
Viewers see the flows sorted by Flow meetings booked (#), highest first, until they sort by another column.
Step 3: Limit the flows, and save
By default the table includes every flow the dashboard's selectors allow. Filter it when this widget should focus on certain flows.
To limit the flows and save:
(Optional) In the Filters section, add a filter to limit which flows the widget includes.
(Optional) Set the team and period for the widget.
(Optional) Turn off Apply dashboard filters to this widget if this widget should ignore the dashboard's selectors. The toggle is on by default.
Click Save.
Frequently asked questions
I can't select Engage Flows when I add a widget. Why?
You need the Manage dashboards permission in your permission profile to add widgets. Contact your Tech admin to check and update your permissions. The setting is in Admin center > Permission profiles > Business settings.
Can I show the flows as a chart?
No. The Engage Flows widget is always a table. To chart flow results, use the Custom chart widget with a flow object.
