With the Gong app on your mobile device, you can record scheduled web conference meetings as well as spontaneous, face-to-face meetings, and have them analyzed and transcribed in Gong.
To record on mobile, the Manually schedule and upload permission must be enabled in your user profile. For more about permissions, see this
Record scheduled meetings
To record scheduled meetings using the Gong app, make sure:
Your phone's native calendar app (not the Google or Outlook calendar app) grants full access to the Gong app.
Your phone's native calendar app is synced with the Google or Outlook calendar that you use with Gong.
If you've met these prerequisites, you're good to go. Here's how:
Open the Gong app and tap at the top right. You'll see a calendar icon with the name of scheduled meetings within the next 2 hours.
Tap RECORD to associate the recording with a specific meeting. (You can also tap SKIP, in which case you'll record, but the recording won't be associated with the meeting.)
Tap to start recording, to pause it, and to resume recording.
When you're finished, tap to stop the recording. Give the recording a name and then tap Save.
The recording is uploaded to Gong, analyzed and transcribed.
Record spontaneous meetings
You can record spontaneous face-to-face meetings that aren't scheduled in your calendar with the Gong mobile app.
These recordings are audio only, and if you're in a noisy environment, the quality may not be optimal. If you're meeting in a meeting room, place your mobile device as close to the speakers as possible.
Open the Gong app and tap at the top right.
Tap to start recording, to pause it, and to resume recording.
When you're finished, tap to stop the recording. Give the recording a name, associate it with an account and/or an opportunity (optional), and then tap Save.
The recording is uploaded to Gong, analyzed, and transcribed.
See recent meetings
See the upload status of recently recorded calls, and take relevant actions, via the Recents tab that’s accessible from the meeting recording page. You can also see a log of all of your recent recordings, and the status of their upload and analysis.
