What’s a forecast rollup widget
The forecast rollup widget displays the forecast submissions per team from a selected line of business, and includes your selected forecast categories.
Building a forecast rollup widget
To build a new forecast rollup widget:
Select your dashboard, click +New widget and select Forecast rollup from the gallery.
In the dashboard header, click to rename your widget and, optionally, + Add description.
Under Line of business, select the line of business to base the widget on.
Under Columns, we import the initial forecast board columns to include in the widget. You can customize the list by removing some of them (except for Team members, which can't be removed) or add some columns. Viewers can sort the table by the values in each column.
Under Select team and period, you’ll notice the team member and date fields are set to be dynamic and respond to whatever is selected in your dashboard. You can change them to fixed values.
Note:
If you select fixed values for the team member and period, the widget would no longer respond to selections made on the dashboard level.
Play with the Preview options on the right to validate your settings. When you’re happy with the results, click Save.
Best practices
To make the most out of forecast rollup widgets, we recommend:
Aligning your data
When adding a forecast rollup widget to a dashboard that includes other widgets based on metrics, make sure the line of business settings and the metrics filters are aligned. For example, if your line of business includes opportunities of type “New business”, the Booking # metric should also be filtered by this deal type.
