With Gong recording your calls, you can focus on the conversation without worrying about taking notes. Everything is recorded, for you to review later, and for analysis and insights.
For example, Gong automatically picks up points of interest in a call, so you see what action items and questions were raised. Smart trackers and keyword trackers, also highlighted in the points of interest, pick up phrases and concepts that you may even miss in the original conversation.
That said, if you want to take notes as a call is happening, you have an in-app notepad.
Tip
If your company uses the native Zoom recorder, you can use Gong app for Zoom
-
While on a conference call, go to the homepage and locate the live call in the Conversations widget.
-
Click Take notes.
The notepad opens to the right of your screen.
-
Click Post Note when you've finished.
Whatever you write is timestamped and appears in the comments section of the call.
Note
Your notes can be seen by anyone who has access to this call.
You can also automate Gong to add notes to tasks in Salesforce.
-
In Salesforce, choose the push tasks to Salesforce option. This pushes live notes to the task.
-
When you take live notes via the notetaker the comments are processed when the call is uploaded to Gong
-
The notes are tasks, but they are included in the task for the call that is pushed. Note that this feature does not work for comments left after the call has already been uploaded to Gong - it works only with live notes.
