Sometimes calls are set up to be recorded, but the recording does not take place. This may happen for technical reasons, because of actions a host takes or other reasons.
Gong shows notifications about skipped recordings in various locations in Gong. Notifications provide insight as to why the recording was missed.
Navigate to any of these pages to view skipped recordings and understand why they were missed:

Home page
Skipped recordings are shown on the Homepage for 2 weeks after the calls are made.

Locate the event you want to check.

Scroll down the page and look for the X skipped call(s) links. Click it.

Hover over the grey No Call or Skipped tags that appear for a brief explanation for why the recording was missed.
Activity tab

Locate the event and team member you want to check.

Look for the skipped recording icon
, click it and view the explanation.
Deals tab
View skipped recording notifications in various locations in the Deals pages, for example when reviewing account information and deal activity.
Troubleshoot skipped recordings
Meeting recordings hold key information into deals and other activity, so it’s important to understand why they may have been missed. A few examples include:
Common issues related to participants

The host dismissed the Gong recorder from the meeting at the beginning of the call.

The host did not start the meeting at the designated time.

The Gong bot request to join was ignored.
Common technical issues

The audio is turned off or muted and Gong thinks the meeting ended or there are no participants.

Invalid meeting link.
