Using the Gong for Salesforce app

The Gong for Salesforce app lets you view your calls together with their data directly in Salesforce. Completed calls are exported as Gong conversations when your Salesforce admin installs Gong for Salesforce.

  1. In Salesforce, go to an account or opportunity you want to see a conversation for.

  2. Search for the conversation in the conversations list.

  3. Click a conversation to open it in a Conversation.

Understand the Conversation tabs

Each Gong conversation includes several tabs. Each tab focuses on a different part of the call.

Highlights

Shows key insights from the call, including:

  • Topics covered and time spent on each topic

  • Trackers mentioned during the call

  • Next steps identified by Gong

Details

Shows structured call information, including:

  • General call information

  • Call date, duration, and participants

  • Opportunity state at the time of the call

Participants

Shows a list of the call participants, their email and title.

Content 

Shows related Gong content, including:

  • Scorecards

  • Topics

  • Trackers

  • Call structure

Only public scorecards appear in Salesforce.

Interaction

Shows statistics of how team members interacted with the call participants. Select a stat to view additional details. See Analyze team performance to understand how the metrics are calculated.

Transcript tab

Shows the entire call transcript with highlights of where each Topic is mentioned.

Transcript topics with corresponding timestamps for various discussion points listed clearly.

Gong player

If your admin enabled call playback, the conversation record includes an audio player. The player lets reps listen to calls without leaving Salesforce.

If call playback is not enabled, the conversation includes a link that opens the call in Gong.
