-
Professional - includes everything in the Coaching plan, as well as Deals, and standard encryption.
-
Enterprise - includes everything in the Professional plan, as well as custom encryption, sandboxes, internal support URL, support for 200 workspaces, permission profiles, and provisioning assignments.
At this time, we do not support mixing Gong plans within an organization.
Your company may have also purchased Gong Forecast. Read about Gong Forecast and Gong Forecast seat and permission profile overview.
The Gong plan purchased by your organization is shown on the Team Members page.

This section provides overview information about Gong seats.
Seat types - Seat types reflect the Gong plan your organization purchased. This means, if you purchased an Enterprise plan, the Team Members page displays Enterprise seats. You can filter the Team Members table by seat type using the page filters.

Seat allocation and allotment - The Team Members page shows the number of seats allocated to team members by the tech admin, and the number total of seats purchased for the org.

Seat capabilities - Technical admins associate Gong capabilities with seats. The level of capability associated with the seat determines if seats will be licensed (charged) or free.
Licensed (paid) seats vs free seats
You may have a number of Gong users listed on the Team Members page, but were only charged for some of their seats. These seats are referred to as licensed seats and appear with a green $ icon on the Team Members page. Users with licensed seats have access to a range of Gong capabilities.
Team members listed with a gray $ seat icon are referred to as collaborators. Collaborators have limited access to Gong capabilities and their seats are free.

A seat becomes licensed (paid) when:
-
Users are assigned certain permission profiles. Profiles let you control the access each user has to specific capabilities in your plan. Read more about permission profiles.
-
Data Capture settings are turned on for users. Data capture settings let you control which information is imported for the team member, for example calls, emails, etc. The icon may be yellow or green. Green indicates the capability is enabled and yellow indicates it will be enabled after connecting to the user to Office 365 or Google Workspace. Read more about data capture.
Seat capabilities are derived from the permission profile and data capture settings assigned to the team member.
Assign from the Team Members page
-
From the Team Members page, select the Actions icon for a team or member.
-
Turn on or change Data Capture settings and assign the permission profile.
If you assign seat capabilities to a user but don’t have any available seats, you’ll be prompted to add more.
Assign using provisioning
Your company may also be working with Gong Forecast. Gong Forecast gives you the deal intel and visibility needed to infuse forecasting motions into daily workflows. Read more about Gong Forecast.
The number of users with access to Forecast, and the number of licensed Forecast seats is displayed on the top of the Team Members page. The page also shows which team members have access to Forecast. A green $ icon indicates that Forecast was enabled for the user. The gray $ icon means it was not enabled.

Add seats manually
You may want to add seats manually to:
-
Give Gong collaborators additional capabilities.
-
Plan ahead for onboarding new team members.
To add seats manually:
-
From your company Settings page, select Team members, and then select Add morefrom the top of the page.
-
Enter the number of seats you want, and click ADD SEATS.
You can start using the new seats immediately. Charges for purchased seats are prorated to the end of your subscription term. An invoice for the purchased seats, plus any applicable taxes, will be sent to the mail account of your billing contact. You should receive the mail 2-3 days after making the order.
What happens when I need to use more seats than I was allocated?
If you assign capabilities to a user but don’t have any available seats, you’ll be prompted to add more. You may update the capabilities users work with, for example by adding broader visibility and control to their permission profile. These changes convert the user's seat to a paid seat. As a result, the number of allocated seats may exceed the number of permitted seats. In this scenario, you will be prompted to purchase more seats.
If you're set up for automatic provisioning, you'll be asked to agree to buy additional seats when needed according to your provisioning settings.
