Setup in 8x8
Create the API access credentials required for this integration, as described in 8x8's Gong.io Integration Guide.
Setup in Gong
Make sure all team members are set up for call import BEFORE setting up this integration.
Note
When your team members are set up for call import before setting up the integration, we bring 3 months of historic calls into Gong.
For any one you turn on call import for after setting up this integration (either because you hadn't set them up yet, or because you're adding new team members), we bring in only 1 month of historic calls.
Go to Company settings > Data capture > Telephony systems.
Click + Add telephony system.
Select 8x8.
Click Connect with the API integration (located at the bottom of the dialog).
Enter a CSS API key and a CSS API secret.
Optional: Enter a URL for SCIM API and an Access Token for SCIM API.
Note
It isn't mandatory to provide Gong with SCIM access, however access is needed to associate Unified Communications (UC) calls made before July 2021, and all past and future Contact Center (CC) calls to Gong app users.
Click Connect.
