What is a Revenue Architect (RA)?

A Revenue Architect (RA) is your primary strategic partner for getting business value from Gong. They help you decide how Gong should fit into your revenue processes so you can hit goals like better forecasting accuracy, and higher win rates and renewals.

You might previously have known this role as your Customer Success Manager (CSM). We’ve evolved this role at Gong to have a sharper focus on enabling your teams to drive revenue outcomes with Gong.

What your Revenue Architect can help with

Your Revenue Architect focuses on activating your go-to-market strategy through Gong, driving feature adoption across your organization, and helping you reach your revenue outcome goals.

They can help you:

  • Recommend what Gong features to activate to best achieve your business goals: Accelerate to outcomes like improving forecast accuracy, growing new business, or reducing churn, by setting up the relevant Gong workflows, behaviors, and metrics.

  • Deepen how Gong fits into your company operations: Consult on how you can embed Gong into deal reviews, forecasting processes, rep and manager coaching, product feedback mechanisms, business insights, quarterly planning and more so it becomes part of the fabric of how you run your revenue organization.

  • Drive adoption among team members: Clarify who should use what, when, and how (by role or team), and agree on what success looks like over time.

  • Review results and plan next steps: Help you assess what’s working ahead of key milestones (like renewals or new rollouts), what’s blocked, and what to prioritize achieving next with Gong.

  • Get best‑practice, outcome‑focused guidance: Ask “What’s the best way to use Gong to achieve this goal?” rather than “Where is this setting?”. Your Revenue Architect is there to guide your strategic use of Gong’s platform.

In addition to having access to a Revenue Architect, you also have resources such as Gong's Help Center, the Gong Academy, and our Visioneers Community, as well as the Gong Assistant which can answer many questions instantly.

Note:

Your Revenue Architect doesn’t handle:

  • Implementation or configuration projects

  • Technical troubleshooting: Our Technical Support Team are always on hand to assist with this.

  • Pricing, contracts, and commercial negotiations: Your Account Executive or Renewal Manager will be happy to assist with this.

Getting in touch with your Revenue Architect

Your Gong Account Team will be in regular contact with the Gong Business and Technical admins in your organization, so they will be able to connect you to your Revenue Architect if needed. If you’re not sure who your Business or Technical admin is, click here to learn how to find them.
