Before setting up the integration:
Enable API access in Salesforce. If API access is not enabled, you won’t be able to connect Gong to Salesforce.
Set up an integration user with the following configuration:
If you use multiple currencies, set the integration user’s personal currency to match the corporate currency
If you use opportunity teams, splits, or products, give the integration user access to these and any related objects
Give the integration user either a Salesforce license or a Salesforce integration license
Give the integration user access to the objects and fields Gong needs access to
API Enabled: In the System permissions of the profile or permission set, ensure the integration user has API Enabled checked. This enables Gong to check API limits and avoid generating requests that go over the API rate limit
You are now ready to connect Gong to Salesforce.
