Prev Next

Who can use this: Any team member

Available on: Any Gong plan

Your My profile page holds the settings that apply only to you, such as your personal details, language preferences, and recording setup. Some fields are managed by your admin and appear as read-only.

Note:

After making changes in any section, click Save changes.

Access your My profile page

To access your My profile page:

  1. Click your username at the top right of your Gong account.

  2. Click My profile.

Update your personal details

Review and update your contact details, time zone, and regional settings. You can also set the pronouns Gong AI uses when referring to you in generated content.

To update your personal details:

  1. Click Personal details on the left side of the page.

  2. Update the fields you want to change:

    • Mobile number: Your mobile phone number for contact purposes.

    • Time zone: The time zone Gong applies to your scheduling and activity timestamps.

    • Locale: Regional settings that control language, week start date, and number and currency formatting.

    • Pronouns: The pronouns Gong AI uses when referring to you in generated content. If not set, Gong AI determines them based on how it identifies you.

  3. Click Save changes.

Manage your language settings

The Languages section includes three settings: your AI Translator preference, your UI display language, and the languages you speak on calls. Each one controls something different.

Set your AI Translator preference

Your AI Translator preference sets the default language for transcripts and AI-generated content, including briefs and AI-suggested playbook notes.

To set your AI Translator preference:

  1. Click Languages on the left side of the page.

  2. Click the AI Translator dropdown, and select your preferred translation language.

  3. Click Save changes.

Admins can also set this preference for you. The most recent change always applies. If your admin updates it after you do, their setting takes effect until you change it again.

To learn more about workspace and team-level translation settings, see How to manage settings for AI Translator.

Change your UI display language

UI display language controls the language Gong uses for menus, buttons, and notifications throughout the product.

To change your UI display language:

  1. Click Languages on the left side of the page.

  2. Click the UI display language dropdown, and select your preferred language.

  3. Click Save changes.

The Gong interface updates to the language you selected.

Français and Français Canadien are currently available.

Note:

UI display language changes the Gong interface for you only. It does not affect transcription, AI translation, or content from your CRM. Some areas may still appear in English while localization coverage expands.

Set the languages you speak during calls

Gong supports 70+ languages and detects most automatically. If Gong is transcribing your calls in the wrong language, setting your spoken languages here helps Gong identify the correct one.

To set the languages you speak during calls:

  1. Click Languages on the left side of the page.

  2. Click the Select a language dropdown, and select the languages you speak.

  3. (Optional) Click + Add another language to add an additional language.

  4. Click Save changes.

Gong uses your updated language preferences when identifying the language spoken on your calls.

To learn more about supported languages, see What languages are supported in Gong?

Check your seats and permissions

Your seats and permission profiles are assigned by your admin and control which features and content you can access in Gong.

To check your seats and permissions:

  1. Choose what you want to review:

    • Seats: Click Seats on the left side of the page to review the seats assigned to you.

    • Workspaces and permissions: Click Workspaces and permissions on the left side of the page to review the access assigned to you in each workspace.

To learn more about permission profiles, see About permission profiles.

Note:

If your access to calls is restricted, you'll see all calls when searching, but won't be able to open the ones you don't have access to.

Manage your recording settings

Recording settings contains links and options that vary depending on your company's configuration. What you see here depends on your org setup.

Your dynamic and static recording links appear here if your company has set up the Gong consent page, or if others schedule meetings on your behalf.

To find your recording links:

  1. Click Recording settings on the left side of the page.

  2. Review the links available:

    • Dynamic link: Appears if your company has enabled the Gong consent page for Zoom. Use this link when scheduling meetings that require consent.

    • Static link: Your personal Gong recording link and Zoom personal meeting room link. If someone else schedules meetings on your behalf, they can use either of these links.

Add associated meeting URLs

Associating your personal meeting URLs helps Gong link recorded calls to your profile automatically.

To add associated meeting URLs:

  1. Click Recording settings on the left side of the page.

  2. Under Associated meeting URLs, enter your personal meeting URL. If you have more than one, enter each on a separate line.

  3. Click Save changes.

Gong associates calls recorded with those meeting URLs to your profile.

Connect Microsoft Teams

If Microsoft Teams is your default web conferencing system, you can connect it here to ensure calls are correctly attributed to you.

To connect Microsoft Teams:

  1. Click Recording settings on the left side of the page.

  2. Under Connection to Microsoft Teams, complete the connection steps.

  3. Click Save changes if prompted.

  2. Under Voice identification, follow the prompts to opt in.
