The call player lets you move through a recording based on what you're interested in. Jump to specific moments, isolate a speaker's audio, or adjust the speed to review what you need without replaying the whole call.
Play and control the recording
The playback bar below the call screen gives you control over how you move through the recording.
To control playback:
Open the call.
Click Play to start the recording, or click it again to pause.
Use the controls to adjust playback:
Skip forward or back: Click Skip back 15s or Skip forward 15s to jump in 15-second increments.
Change speed: Click the speed control (shown as 1x) and select a faster or slower rate.
Adjust volume: Click the volume icon and drag the slider.
Captions: Click CC to turn subtitles on or off.
Full screen: Click the Expand icon to open the video in full screen.
Navigate with the timeline
The timeline below the player shows the full length of the call. The colored bars beneath it represent when each participant was speaking and when the screen was shared. You can see at a glance where the conversation was active and skip directly to the parts you want to review.
To navigate using the timeline:
Open the call.
Click anywhere on the timeline bar to jump to that point in the recording.
Drag the playhead left or right to move through the call.
Tip:
The speaker bars show periods of activity. Longer, denser blocks indicate where the conversation was most active.
Listen to a specific speaker
If you want to focus on what one person said, you can isolate their audio so only their voice plays. This is useful when you want to review a prospect's exact words before a follow-up, for example, without listening to the full recording.
To listen to one speaker:
Open the call.
Click the Participants icon at the left of the player controls bar.
Select the speaker you want to isolate.
Click Play.
View screen share content
When a participant shared their screen during the call, that content is captured alongside the audio. The screen share bar in the timeline shows when sharing was active.
To view screen share content:
Open the call.
Look for the Screen share bar below the speaker talk-time bars in the timeline.
Click the segment where screen sharing was active to jump to that point in the recording.
The shared screen appears in the main player area. The labels below the bar show how long each type of content was shared. For example, Slides 1m · Browser 21m means the participant shared a presentation for one minute and a browser window for 21 minutes.
View the Zoom meeting chat
When a call is recorded through Zoom, messages sent in the Zoom meeting chat are captured alongside the recording. You can view them directly from the call page.
To view the Zoom meeting chat:
Open the call page.
Click the Meeting chat icon to the right of the panel.
Scroll through the messages to review the chat from the meeting.
Note:
The chat tab only appears for calls recorded through Zoom. It is not available for calls from other conferencing providers.
