Export Coaching metrics data
Download a report to see how your managers are coaching their teams. The Coaching metrics export covers the manager coaching activity in the current view. Two versions are available: a summary with one row per manager, and a detailed file with one row per call.
To export Coaching metrics data:
From the left sidebar, click Coaching, and select Coaching metrics.
Apply filters to set the scope.
Click the More actions icon
at the top right and select Download CSV. Choose one of the following options: Current view: One row per manager showing the metric totals for the selected period.
All call-level data used to calculate the current view: One row per call, with columns for manager, team member, call date, activity type, and metadata.
(Optional) Select Show management hierarchy in the report to add columns for up to nine levels of the management hierarchy. If you chose the call-level export, you can also select Include CRM fields to add account and opportunity data.
Click Download.
The call-level file has one row per call, with these columns:
Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
coach_name, coach_email_address, coach_Gong_user_ID | The manager who coached: name, email address and Gong user ID. |
call_date, call_duration_seconds, Call ID, call_title | The call's date and time, its duration in seconds, its ID and its title. Call ID is the ID of the call the manager attended, listened to, commented on, scored, or marked as feedback given in the selected date range. |
call_type | External, Internal, or unknown. Calls of unknown type show as Null. |
call_host_name, call_host_email_address, call_host_Gong_user_id | The call host's name, email address and Gong user ID. |
attended_call | TRUE if the manager attended the call during the report date range, otherwise FALSE. |
listened_to_call | TRUE if the manager listened to the call during the report date range, otherwise FALSE. Gong counts calls, not listens: once a manager has listened to a call, it is counted, and it is not counted again if they listen to it again, even after a long time. |
commented_on_call | TRUE if the manager commented on the call during the report date range, otherwise FALSE. |
scored_call | TRUE if the manager filled in a scorecard for the call during the report date range, otherwise FALSE. |
marked_as_feedback_given | TRUE if the manager marked the call as feedback given during the report date range, otherwise FALSE. |
name_of_top_manager, email_address_of_top_manager, name_of_manager_2nd_level_down_from_top, email_address_of_manager_2nd_level_down_from_top, and the same pair for each level down to name_of_manager_9th_level_down_from_top and email_address_of_manager_9th_level_down_from_top | Added when you select Show management hierarchy in the report. The columns start with the highest-level manager defined in Gong and move down your organizational hierarchy to the lowest-level manager who has only direct reports rolling up to them. |
crm_account_name, crm_account_id | Added when you select Include CRM fields. The name and ID of the account associated with the call, as in your CRM. Null if the call isn't imported from the CRM. |
crm_opportunity_name, crm_opportunity_id, crm_opportunity_type | Added when you select Include CRM fields. The name, ID and type of the opportunity associated with the call, as in your CRM. Null if the call isn't imported from the CRM. |

Frequently asked questions
The export numbers don't match what I see in the UI. Why?
Coaching metrics exports assign activity to the coaching date rather than the call date. Automatically scored calls may appear under the score date rather than the recording date. Learn more about measuring coaching and enablement.
How are scorecard rows calculated in the export?
Each row shows the average score for one team member. Scorecard questions appear as follows:
Yes/no questions show 0 for No and 1 for Yes.
Range questions show the number the scorer selected.
Open-ended questions show the text answers.
Single-select and multi-select questions show the selected answers.
What do Applicable Calls and Tracker Use mean?
Applicable Calls is the number of calls hosted by the team member that are relevant to that tracker. A tracker can have a built-in filter that excludes certain calls from analysis. Tracker Use is the percentage of applicable calls in which the tracker was mentioned.
