Who can use this: Tech admin, Business admin
Available on: Gong Engage
Ideal for: Sales manager, Manager of managers, Quota-carrying manager
Snooze your team's flow to-dos while team members are away, so they do not return to a list of overdue items. Snooze time is a scheduled period when flow to-do due dates are delayed.
Before you begin
Managers, tech admins, business admins, and global admins can snooze flow to-dos and auto emails for other people without any extra permission.
Non-managers and non-admins need the Snooze flow to-dos for others permission in their permission profile, which covers snoozing both flow to-dos and auto emails. Learn more about available permission settings.
Set snooze time
Set snooze time when team members will be away, and choose which teams or team members it covers.
To set snooze time:
From the left sidebar, click To-dos.
At the top right, click the More actions icon, and select Snooze flow to-dos.
Click Set snooze time.
Under Select date range, choose the dates.
Under Team members, choose the teams or team members whose flow to-dos you want to snooze.
Click Save.
The snooze applies automatically to the people you selected.
Each snooze appears as a card with a menu of actions. Managers can select Edit, Duplicate, or Delete to update saved snooze time when someone's plans change. Team members can select Decline or Re-accept from the To-dos page.
How snooze time affects due dates
Snooze time delays each due date by the number of business days in the snooze. Weekends and days covered by another snooze do not count as business days. Snooze time applies to flow to-dos and auto emails.
A flow to-do due on or after the first day of the snooze moves later by that number of business days.
A to-do due before the snooze starts does not move, so anything already overdue stays overdue.
The expiration date of each to-do is set again from its new due date and runs for your company's full expiry period, counted in business days. Learn more about company flow settings.
End or delete snooze time
Due dates move back when a snooze ends early, is deleted, or is declined. A to-do's due date never moves earlier than the date last set by hand.
When a team member clicks I'm back, the snooze ends early. Their flow to-dos resume right away, and due dates move back by the business days they did not use.
When snooze time is deleted or declined, open flow step to-dos due on or after the snooze start date move back by the number of business days the snooze had added.
What does not get snoozed
Snoozing moves flow step to-dos only. The following to-dos keep their original dates:
One-off to-dos
Gong-recommended to-dos
Email reply to-dos
Meeting booked to-dos
Email bounced to-dos
Note:
A team member who is away can still have a reply or a booked meeting waiting when they return. Snoozing does not move those to-dos.
What your team sees
Team members can see snooze time that applies to them.
They get an email when you create the snooze. It names who set it up and the date range. They get another email if you edit or delete it.
During the snooze, an alert at the top of their to-do list says their flow to-dos are snoozed and gives the date the snooze ends.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to auto emails during a snooze?
Auto emails move the same way as flow to-dos. Their send dates move later by the number of business days in the snooze, and each expiration date is set again from the new send date.
