Admin center > Settings > CRM > CRM settings
Choose which CRM data should be made available in Gong. Data that you import can be added to various boards, used in the search filter, and provide context to Gong activities such as calls. See supported field types for a list of field types that are supported in Gong.
Some Salesforce fields may have slightly different names when they are shown in the Deals board.
Importing Salesforce data allows reps to:
Search for calls that match your Salesforce attributes in the Search page
Work with Engage
Build deal and forecast boards
View deals information in the Accounts page
See the fields as part of the ranking criteria in Whisper for Topics
Drill down to monitor changes in the account timeline (for Opportunity fields set to track changes)
Note:
Make sure that the user that connects to Salesforce has access to all fields you want to import.
We recommend importing up to 50 fields per object so as not to impact performance.

In the Salesforce integration page, go to the Data import tab.
Select the fields in the Account, Contact, Lead, and Opportunity entities you want to import.
Mark Create placeholder next to any CRM field you want to use as a field placeholder to personalize activities such as Engage emails.
Mark Track changes for any CRM field you want to follow over time. Gong keeps a history of the field so you can see what changed and when. In playbooks, users can see when fields were last updated.
The different values are shown in the account timeline and account page.
Note:
This step requires field history tracking to be configured in Salesforce. For details, see Field History Tracking and Track Field History for Custom Objects in Salesforce. For formula fields, refer to Unable to track Field History of Formula Fields.
Ensure that you select Set history tracking and then select Track old and new values for each field.Click Save.
Once you have set up the fields to import, the Import status section is displayed in the Connection tab. This shows when the last update was made in the CRM and when the Salesforce data was last imported to Gong. If there are problems in importing data, you may see this here.
