Connect to provider API
For Zoom, GoToMeeting, Webex, and BlueJeans, you can connect to the provider's API in order to tap in to additional features such as using Gong's recording consent page or native recording.
Refer to the provider articles for more information: Zoom, GoToMeeting, Webex, and BlueJeans.
How we record web conferences
We look for specific call URLs in meeting invitations for team members with calendar sync, or when using the Gong assistant, and then schedule recording for those meetings.
In most cases, Gong joins the meeting automatically when the meeting starts, and begins recording.
Note
When using Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, the host or participants may be asked to allow the Gong bot to join the meeting. Make sure your team is aware that they should let the Gong bot into the meeting to ensure the calls are being recorded.
