Some companies are set to record external calls only. If your company is set this way, you may still want to record an occasional internal call. For example, if someone can't attend and wants to listen in later, or to enable you to revisit the call.
Here are some ways you can manually set Gong to record an internal call:
In the invitee list, add an email address with an external domain.
Invite the Gong recording bot to the calendar event.

If you want to record internal calls on a regular basis, ask your Gong admin to change your call type recording setting.
