If you have an ad-hoc call, or scheduled a call just a few minutes in advance, Gong won't be set to record it. Here's how you can add Gong to a call at the last minute, or to a call that is already started. This enables you to have a record of the call that's associated with the account, and benefit from Gong analytics and insights.
-
If the meeting is in your calendar: Add the Gong assistant to the list of participants. (This is recommended, because the meeting invite contains call info that we'll use to associate the call in Gong.)
-
If the meeting is not in your calendar: Go to the homepage and in the Conversations section, click Schedule new recording. In the screen that opens, set the call for Later and fill in the details. Read more here.
-
If the meeting has already started: Go to the homepage and in the Conversations section, click Schedule new recording. In the screen that opens, set the call for Now and fill in the details. Read more here.
Note
Gong will join the call up to 10 minutes after you add the assistant or schedule the call from the homepage.
-
Outlook:
Invite Gong to the web conference as a participant.
If this method is unsuccessful, use the Forward as an Attachment option to forward the meeting invite to the Gong assistant. Gong will join and record the call.
-
Other calendar apps:
Email the meeting URL to the Gong assistant.
Gong joins the call for any web conferencing system your company is set up to use Gong for.
