Who can use this: Tech admin, Zoom Phone admin

Before you begin

  1. Approve the Gong for Zoom phone app in the Zoom marketplace.

  2. Make sure Import telephony system calls is turned on in the data capture settings for everyone whose Zoom Phone calls you want to capture.

Set up the integration

  1. In Gong, click Admin center > Settings > Data captureTelephony systems.

  2. Click + Add telephony system.

  3. Select Zoom Phone.

  4. Click CONNECT.

    You are redirected to Zoom Phone.

  5. Enter your credentials, and approve.

    You are directed back to Gong. Zoom Phone provides a token that Gong captures in the background.

    You're now connected to the Zoom Phone API and calls will be captured. If this is the first time you've connected to Zoom Phone, Gong brings in the last three months worth of calls. If you're reconnecting to Zoom Phone, Gong brings in calls from the last sync date.

  6. In Zoom phone, an admin should enable automatic recording.

Ingesting calls that were transferred from one person to another depends on the way the call data is sent to Gong.

Calls that are transferred can either be divided into several segments or treated as separate calls.

Call participants are either fully identified for the entire call or partially identified of participants

With Zoom Phone, calls that are transfered are:

  • Divided into several segments. In Gong, each segment is a separate call.  

  • Call participants are partially identified.
