Who's this for? Orgs that use 3rd parties to sell their products
Make sure you identify 3rd party partners in account objects.
For example, Account type=Partner, Business_type=Existing Agency, Type=Broker
Make sure you identify the name of the 3rd party in opportunity objects.
For example, Partner account, Billing agency, Referring agency
Use Contact Roles to connect the 3rd party contacts in opportunity objects (Salesforce integrations only for now)
In the company settings page > CRM area, click 3rd party association.
Follow the on-screen directions on screen.
The first 2 settings, Account type for 3rd parties and Reference field for 3rd party account name in an opportunity, are mandatory for successful 3rd party association.
The last setting, No 3rd party account name in an opportunity, is optional. This setting is intended for people who know they need it.
Give the system up to 24 hours to sync, and enjoy!
