With AI briefs, your team can get up to speed quickly on any account or deal, for a given situation. AI briefs summarize important information instantly, so team members know what matters at a glance.

Writing instructions for AI briefs takes practice and you may need to test your instructions a few times, tweaking the words here and there, until you get results that you’re satisfied with. Test the instructions on calls and accounts you’re familiar with to make sure the results are good.

Tips for getting great results from Gong AI

  • Write in natural language

  • Ask open-ended questions

  • Ask explicit questions

  • Ask questions about the content of the conversations

  • Explain terms that are jargon or ambiguous.

What were the customer’s pain points?

A pain point is a specific business problem, explicitly mentioned, that our solution can address, an area where the customer is struggling that our solution could help solve.

What topics were discussed during the call?

The summary should focus on the main topics that were discussed, and include a short description of each topic, and who said it.

What’s the customer’s current tech stack?

Include existing systems to be replaced, required integrations, APIs, third-party platforms, databases, and any technical dependencies that were discussed. Include details about data migration requirements and specific technical configurations that were mentioned.

Who will be involved in implementation from the customer’s side?

Include their titles and roles in the implementation.

What is the implementation rollout strategy?

Include future implementation milestones, implementation timelines, onboarding phases, key deliverables, resource requirements, and training plans.

What are the customer’s pain points?

Examples of valid pain points:

- Losing efficiency due to manual processes

- Lacking visibility into important metrics

- Having difficulty scaling their current processes

  1. Outline the customer's business objectives and strategic goals mentioned. Provide detailed information.

  2. Who are the decision-makers from the company that are involved in the buying decision for the company? Why are they considered decision-makers?

  3. What is the customer’s decision-making process for closing the deal with us?

  4. Which criteria does the customer consider when evaluating our solutions?

  5. Are there negative indications that this deal won't close? If so, what are they?

  6. What are the growth opportunities with this customer? Focus on growth opportunities with our products and services.

  7. Can you summarize the pricing information discussed?

  8. Is the customer considering other solutions? How do these solutions compare to ours?
