    Gong offers the ability to migrate all templates and flows, also known as 'sequences' or 'cadences' in other platforms, from Salesloft to Engage.

    Migration is a paid service provided by Gong. To initiate the process, contact your Gong Account Manager.

    Gong also offers the ability to migrate content from Outreach.

    How migration works

    There are 2 main parts of the migration process:

    1. Connecting Salesloft to Engage: We need the API keys to connect the 2 platforms. You can provide us with temporary admin access, or provide us with the API keys 

    2. Choosing what to migrate: You can use migration to clean out old templates and Salesloft cadences. Gong distinguishes between 'personal' flows - available for their owner to see and use, and 'company' flows, available for all users to see and use. Gong will migrate all active personal templates and cadences from Salesloft, and assign them to their owners in Gong as personal flows. For company templates and cadences that are available to all users, Gong only migrates templates and cadences that are tagged. To do this, you’ll need to create a tag called "migrate for company availability" in Salesloft and tag all of the templates and cadences you want to migrate and have available for all users in Gong.

    Disclaimers about the migration process

    Some important details to know before you begin:

    • For company flows and templates, you’ll need to tag the ones you want to bring over, and then provide us with the tag you’re using so we can import them

    • For personal flows, we only import them if the owner in Salesloft has a matching user in Gong. This is detected based on email matching

    • Flows and templates can be marked as active/inactive in Salesloft. We only import active objects

    • Not all Salesloft variables can translate to Gong, such as conditional variables, so it's important to review content once you've imported it

    Note

    Only "Team Cadences" from Salesloft can become "Company Flows" in Gong, and only "Team Templates" from Salesloft can become "Company Templates" in Gong.
