A theme analysis shows the topics customers raised most across a set of calls, with quotes and links to the calls behind each one. Open one to see what customers are talking about, check the evidence, share the results, or keep watching a theme in future calls.
View an analysis
Open a completed analysis to see the question it answered and the themes Gong found in your calls.
To view an analysis:
From the left sidebar, click Insights, and select AI Theme Spotter.
Find the analysis in the list, open the menu at the right end of its row, and select View analysis.
The analysis shows the question you asked, the filters and period it covers, and how many calls and accounts it includes. It also shows how many themes Gong found, with a summary of each theme and the number of calls it appeared in.
Explore a theme
Open a theme to read what customers said and jump to the calls behind it.
To explore a theme:
On the analysis page, click Explore next to the theme.
Read the theme's sub-themes and the quotes from calls.
Click Show sources to see links to the calls and a summary of each relevant moment.
Note:
You only see source calls that you have access to. If a quote comes from a call you cannot view, Gong hides its source.
Export an analysis
Export an analysis to share what you found outside Gong, or to work with it in a spreadsheet.
To export an analysis:
From the left sidebar, click Insights, and select AI Theme Spotter.
Find the analysis in the list and open it.
Click Export, and select an option:
Download theme table (CSV): Downloads a file with the themes and sub-themes.
Send sources via email: Emails you a list of the source calls.
To export a single theme:
Open the analysis and click Explore next to the theme.
Open the menu in the right corner of the theme page, and select Download theme details (PDF) or Send sources via email (CSV).
Track a theme

Manage AI Tracker settings
Turn a theme into an AI tracker to keep watching for it in future calls.
To track a theme:
Open the analysis and click Explore next to the theme.
On the theme page, click Track theme.
Click Go to AI Tracker. Your new tracker opens as a draft, ready to publish.

Frequently asked questions
I can't see AI Theme Spotter in the Insights menu. What should I do?
Ask your admin to check that your permission profile has AI Theme Spotter turned on under Pages > Insights. If it is on and you still do not see it, tell your admin so they can check your profile. For more help, see Troubleshoot AI Theme Spotter.
Can I see an analysis that someone else created?
Yes. Every completed analysis is visible to any team member with the AI Theme Spotter permission. The list at Insights > AI Theme Spotter is shared across your company.
