Business pulse is a mobile-first feed that highlights important developments in key business accounts for sales leaders. It keeps them informed on account activity and deal progression by delivering concise insights and engaging headlines directly to their mobile devices.
Business pulse helps sales leaders stay informed about team activity and account milestones by:
Highlighting key account developments without relying on manual status updates or team reports.
Delivering a lightweight, scrollable experience for quick insights on the go — whether you're between meetings or commuting.
Surfacing important deal milestones and recommending new accounts to follow, so you never miss what matters most.
Who has access to Business Pulse
Business Pulse is aimed at sales leaders, with access automatically enabled for all managers. Admins can manage access to the feed from permission profiles:
Go to Admin Center > Settings.
Under People, click Permission profiles.
Click the relevant profile name.
Under Pages, select or deselect Mobile app Business pulse feed.

What updates appear in Business pulse
The mobile feed includes three types of updates for your followed and suggested accounts:
New customer calls: Surfaces risks, highlights, and next steps from recent customer conversations.
CRM changes: Includes stage moves, closed won/lost deals, financial developments, and close date changes, including context on what may have driven them.
Weekly account recaps: Comprehensive summaries for all accounts that had activity in the last week.
How to use Business pulse
Accessing the feed
Once enabled, Business pulse appears as a new tab in the Gong mobile app and becomes the first view when opening the app.

Managing followed accounts
The feed includes accounts you actively follow as well as accounts suggested by Gong, including:
Largest deals closing soon
Your recent meetings
Upcoming meetings
High engagement accounts
If Business pulse shows no updates, you may not follow any accounts, have any suggested accounts, or there’s no recent activity.
Click Manage in the top right corner to see a list of your followed accounts:

To follow new accounts:
Search for the relevant account.
Tap to add it to your followed list.
To unfollow accounts:
Swipe left on any account in your followed list.

Available actions on your call updates
From any call update card, you can:
See a summary including:
Account name
Title describing the update
Description with key details
Tap Follow button (available for suggested accounts).
Tap
to access Ask anything, and get AI-powered answers about the call.

People at your company
Anyone with the link (30 days)
Restricted (30 days)
Note:
If you choose to share with people outside your company, access to the call is limited to 30 days. You can choose to share the call with a public link (anyone with the link can access it) or a restricted link (only people specified during the share process can access it).

Tap the name of the company or anywhere on the update to see the account page.
