Tech admin,
Any Gong plan*
You'll need to disconnect your current CRM integration from Gong in the following scenarios:
Your organization is switching to a new CRM platform.
You're moving to a different instance of the same CRM platform, for example when transitioning from a CRM sandbox to a production environment, or multiple organizations within your CRM.
We support only one CRM connection per Gong instance. If your organization uses multiple Gong instances (each with separate domains and logins), each instance can connect to a different CRM.
Regardless of your specific migration scenario, you must always disconnect your current CRM integration before establishing a new one. This ensures a clean transition and prevents any data synchronization issues during the migration process.
CRM Migration Process
CRM data is deeply embedded in Gong. Fortunately, we have implemented processes to guide you through a CRM migration and keep your data syncing smoothly. When migrating Gong to a different CRM environment, you need to do the following:
Contact Gong support.
Reach out to Gong Support before disconnecting your current CRM to coordinate the removal of existing CRM data and references. This prevents duplicate data issues in your Gong. The data cleanup process takes up to 24 hours to complete.
Note:
While it’s best if you contact support before disconnecting your CRM, we can still assist after disconnection.
Provide migration dates.
When contacting support, have these dates ready:
Disconnection date: The last day your previous CRM was connected to Gong
New connection date: The day you plan to connect (or connected) your new CRM to Gong
Following this process ensures minimal disruption and maintains data integrity throughout your CRM migration.
What to expect during migration
Changing CRM has implications within the Gong platform. We try to make this process as smooth as possible, but there are a few things that will happen:
New CRM data. Initial data population may take time depending on your CRM's data volume.
Engage flow data. All contacts and leads will be automatically removed from existing Engage flows during migration. This action cannot be reversed. Prepare your sales team for this change and plan to rebuild relevant flows after migration is complete.
Engage CRM setup. All field mappings will need to be reconfigured according to your new CRM after migration. Navigate to Company Settings > Engage CRM Setup.
